The Complete Jewish Bible
Complete Jewish Bible : An English Version of the Tanakh (Old Testament) and B'Rit Hadashah (New Testament) (Hardcover)
by David H. Stern (Editor)
Editorial Reviews
Review
The Complete Jewish Bible, challenges both Jews and Christians to see that the whole Bible is Jewish, the B'rit Hadashah as well as the Tanakh. Jews are challenged by the implication that without it the Tanakh is an incomplete Bible. Christians are challenged with the fact that they are joined to the Jewish people through faith in the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus) -- so that because Christianity can be rightly understood only from a Jewish perspective, anti-Semitism is condemned absolutely and forever. In short, the Complete Jewish Bible restores the Jewish unity of the Bible. Also for the first time the information needed for the synagogue readings from the Torah and the Prophets is completely integrated with similar use of the B'rit Hadashah. --This text refers to the Kindle Edition edition.
Product Description
Why is this Bible different from all other Bibles? Because it is the only English version fully Jewish in style and presentation. It includes Dr. Stern's new version of the "Tanakh" ("Old Testament") and his highly acclaimed "Jewish New Testament."
The Complete Jewish Bible:
- follows the Hebrew Bible order of the Tanakh's books, the order with which Yeshua (Jesus) was familiar
- makes no separation between "Old" and "New" Testaments
- corrects misinterpretations in the New Testament resulting from anti-Jewish theological bias
- offers the original Hebrew names for people, places, and concepts, using easy-to-read English transliterations
- focuses on Messianic prophecy
- gives the traditional weekly and holiday synagogue readings, plus relevant readings from the "B'rit Hadashah" (New Testament)
The Complete Jewish Bible:
- reconnects Christians with their Jewish roots and the Jewish people
- connects Jews with the Jewishness of Messiah Yeshua and Messianic faith
Other features of this Bible: a comprehensive introduction, a pronouncing explanatory glossary, a reverse glossary, and special maps to aid Bible understanding.
Jewish New Testament Commentary: A Companion Volume to the Jewish New Testament (Paperback)
by David H. Stern (Author)
Editorial Reviews
Product Description
The Torah (Law of Moses)--is it in full force today? Yeshua (Jesus) said, "Don't think that I have come to abolish the Torah... I have come not to abolish, but to complete." What did he mean?
Sha'ul (Paul) wrote, "All Israel will be saved." Was he speaking of all Jews? Messianic Jews (Jews who believe Yeshua is the Messiah)? The Church? Who is Israel?
Why did Yeshua juxtapose the saying, "Do not store up for yourselves wealth here on earth" and "The eye is the light of the body"?
Dr. David Stern, a Messianic Jew living in Jerusalem, speaks to these and other issues in the Jewish New Testament Commentary. In this companion volume to his widely read and highly acclaimed "Jewish New Testament," he offers an exciting and original way of understanding the New Testament from a Jewish point of view. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.
From the Publisher
Drawing on years of research, Dr. Stern relates the New Testament text to the "Tanakh" ("Old Testament"), to the historical setting, to rabbinic materials and to Christian theology. He answers questions Jewish people have about Yeshua, the New Testament and Christianity; questions Christians have about Judaism and the Jewish roots of their faith; and questions Messianic Jews have about being both Jewish and Messianic.
He demonstrates that the New Testament upholds Jewish values and verities, such as the oneness of God, the chosennesss of Israel, the sanctity of the Torah, and the importance of works along with faith. He also shows how the New Testament speaks to modern issues like assimilation, intermarriage, missionizing and antisemitism. Fiunally, int terms of the Greek and Hebrew languages, Judaism and fir-century culture, he explains controversial "Jewish New Testament" renderings.
The "Jewish New Testament" and "Jewish New Testament Commentary" challenge Christians to rediscover their Jewish connection, and Jews to discover their Jewish Messiah. These two books belong on the shelf of everyone who wants to understand the Bible better. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

Product Description
Product Description
Medium Yemenite Shofar: 32"-35" Shofars are measured from end to end following the curve. Yemenite Shofars are organic from the KUDU antelope and vary in color, texture and finishing. Each one is tested before shipped to make sure there are no blockages. The shofar The shofar (rams horn) is the biblical trumpet (the Hebrew word shofar is translated trumpet in most English Bibles). Because the most ancient shofar was made from a rams horn, it reminded the people of the ram that God provided when Abraham offered his son Isaac on Mount Moriah. Because shofars can be made of any animal horn except that of a cow, a much larger shofar is made from the horn of an antelope, and is called the Yemenite shofar. The shofar is a very important element in the worship experience of the Jewish community. It also has great significance for Christians, for the references in the Apostolic Scriptures to the trumpet most certainly refer to the shofar. When John spoke of seven trumpets in Revelation and when Paul wrote about the last trumpet that signals the resurrection, they were talking about the shofar.

It is considered the most important prayer in Judaism, and its twice-daily recitation is a mitzvah (religious commandment). Its main content is loving the one and only God with all one's heart, soul and might, and the rewards that come with this. Conversely, it also includes an admonishment concerning failing to heed the commandments of God lest we arouse the wrath of God. All of this make this ring a special gift for every god believer.
